Description
This project was inspired by the goal of making spreads based off of recent graphic design articles and books. Each week I researched a new topic and designed a spread based off of that topic.

The cover design was created based off of a two story “a” that I had been cut into a petri dish as a way to tie together the experimental aesthetic of the book.

To further the experimental aesthetics, I made stickers for the the inside jacket cover to forshadow specific chapters.

The font used for my name on the spine is called ZXX and utilizes scattering of pixels and other marks to make letters difficult for computers to decipher.

This spread below was about Elizabeth Critchlowa’s responce to the AIDs crisis in the 80s-90s. She utilized the club poster medium to send the message that the AIDs Crisis was a failing of the govenment at the time.

The background graphics and the graphic under the title  are made using a traced image of an infected AIDs cell.
